Mei Ling: Okay, Snake. Who is your opponent this time?
Snake: A wierd looking floating jester clothed in purple, pink, and white.
Mei Ling: OH! That's NiGHTS, Snake!
Snake: NiGHTS?
Mei Ling: Yeah! NiGHTS is a Nightmaren from the dream world known as the Night Dimension. Her flying is her most notable ability.
Snake: Yeah, I noticed that the flying kinda resembles swimming. So wait, it's a girl?
Mei Ling: Well... Kinda. NiGHTS is actually genderless and could be either male or female.
Snake: So gender confusion exists with almost EVERY videogame, huh? Ugh... almost reminds me of Raiden.... So anyways, back to NiGHTS. What about a background?
Mei Ling: Oh yeah! NiGHTS was created by the spirit, Wizeman to steal the Ideya, or essence of dream energy, from people to cause them nightmares and ruin their lives in the process. However, NiGHTS didn't really like that idea, so she defected from Wizeman and his army of Nightmaren to instead help the people in need, mainly children, who have these nightmares. Ultimately putting her life at risk time and time again to make their futures brighter.
Snake: Talk about being a trooper. But shouldn't NiGHTS have been overpowered by an entire army? I mean, if she's this strong, then wouldn't an entire army of creatures like her be able to easily take her down?
Mei Ling: You would be right, if it wasn't appearant that NiGHTS is notably the most powerful Nightmaren of them all. The rest of them are all very much weaker.
Snake: Heh... just like Mario with the Goombas. There are a lot of them, but none of them stand a chance! Anyways.... one thing has been bothering me, though.
Mei Ling: Oh? What's that?
Snake: She somewhat reminds me of that blasted blue hedgehog that got on my nerves.
Mei Ling: No suprise since they are both made by the same person.
Snake: Oh Really? No wonder. Except she isn't half as annoying.
Mei Ling: She and Sonic can almost be seen like siblings. Where they are similar in many ways, they also some differences between them.
Snake: Well, just 'cause she's not as annoying as Sonic, she's still my opponent, and she's going down.
Mei Ling: Careful, Snake. If she doesn't take you down, her fanbase might.
Snake: ....Okay, now that's nightmarish.
