Eggman is defeated and flies away from his ejector seat and escapes. Tails stands there trapped in the exploding room with the torn up pages. He looks to an opening where Amy flies in with the Tornado 5 and holds out her hand! Tails jumps up and grabs on! Amy hops over to the back seat and Tails takes the wing. The two of them fly away through an opened portal back to their time! As they leave, Tails looks back and sees the Angel smiling and waving good-bye. She disappears back into Little Planet and Tails moves them forward through the portal, smiling back for her. Amy wonders what Tails was looking at, but doesn't pay it any mind. They return home.
Meanwhile, Eggman retreats back in time to rebuild his machine to wait for the oppurtunity to defeat Sonic when he arrives. Only to be defeated again, where the set time goes into motion as Sonic saves Rosy and escapes from Little Planet. Eggman ultimately gives up on the Little Planet scheme and escapes back into Limbo. Sonic takes Rosy (Amy) off the planet and watches the planet disappear after cheering for Sonic with his face as fireworks above. The planet explodes into flowers that appear all over Sonic's world. And this voice can be heard. "Thank you for finally setting us free. The planet shall rest with you in peace."
Returning to present day, Tails and Amy are back at Tails' house taking a rest. When Tails still looks back on the adventure he was just on, he picks up the ring again and hears the Angel's voice once more. "May the light of my ring guide you forever, young fox." Tails keeps the ring close to him and looks to his plane, the Tornado 5 and decides to go for a flight. He flies over to the Never Lake and sees the flowers still in a healthy bloom over the fields around the lake. And can only say: "I believed in myself. And I did it!"
